CEO change for e-shelter and Gyron
Tokyo/Japan – June 27, 2019 – NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com), the ICT solutions and international communications business within the NTT Group, announced today changes in CEO of e-shelter and Gyron, it’s European colocation businesses.
Effective 1st August 2019, Rupprecht Rittweger, currently CEO and Chairman of both e-shelter and Gyron, will step down as CEO and continue in his role as Chairman of the NTT European colocation business.
Most recently, he has overseen the creation of a new pan European colocation organization by bringing together the e-shelter and Gyron businesses, which is part of an ongoing initiative by NTT to integrate its data center businesses into a combined global operating platform.
Florian Winkler, who has been with e-shelter since 2012 and is currently Chief Commercial Officer, will take over the role of CEO for the combined European DC business.
“The new pan European data center platform will be even better positioned to support our customers and deliver growth across the region,” commented Rittweger, who founded e-shelter in 2000, “Over the last 19 years, we have built a business based on excellence in service delivery and a fantastic team of people, both at e-shelter and Gyron. Now is the right time for me to handover the day to day operational responsibilities and I am sure Florian will do a great job as CEO”
